Like so many sites nowadays, cash is tight.  Long gone are the days that revenue from a single ad easily paid for hosting costs with leftovers to cover people's labour-time spent on the site.  Now full page adverts and subscriptions are unfortunately the norm.

Obviously going that far - turning the site into some giant advert is something I'd rather not have to do, not only does it make the site look tacky, it also slows down in the hunt for information - which is what the internet is all about.

Avoiding those extreme measures however does tip the site over into the red.

If you want to help out with hosting costs, and throw a few pennies to the people who have spent hundreds of hours of labour-time working on the site then please donate.

You can also buy various junk like t-shirts, mouse mats and even wall clocks from our shop, from each sale at least a couple of dollars go our way.  It all mounts up!
